The excludign neoliberal globalization, firmly installed in Latin American, increases the breach between tich and poor. The Protestant Churches of Ltin America, members of the Lutheran World Federation and of the Alliance of Presbyterian and Reformed Churches of Latin America, hace questioned and denounced this situation in a variety of ways.
This publication attempts to bring together the materials alredy published in Spanish in 2004 and 2006 with the intention of spreading and socializing the theological reflection, proposals, testimonies and practices of the Latin American Protestant Churches in the area of economic (in)justice, neoliberal globalization, foreign debt, poverty and ecological destruction. From a prophetic stance - announcing an denouncing - these publication introduces us to the constant reflection of the Christian people called to provide a reason for their faith and their hope. We hope that this publication will reach teh aim of promoting the processes of reflection and dialogue between the Churches of both North and South, providing an transparent image of the perception when facing the impact of neoliberal globalization that deeply affects the reality of our communities, sharing the analysis which is taking place, so as to assume the contextual stances which are coherent with the Gospel. |
