In the second edition of thsi classic work, Worden describes the mechanisms of grief and teh procedures for helping clients accomplish the "task of mourning" to facilitate moving through the process of normal grieving. He goes on to explain how unresolved grief can lead to problems requiring psychotherapy and how the therapist can diagnose and treat problems related to exaggerated, chronic, masked, and delayed frieg reactions.
