Striking Terror No More was written specifically to help the church find creative and faithful ways to address domestic violence to those in the pew. Part one provides several essays dealing with the facts and consequences of domestic violence. Part two offers suggested sessions designed to educate and to bring about positive action. These sessions cover child abuse, acquaintance rape and date rape, spouse abuse, and elder abuse. Part three offers suggested resources to bring these issues into the worship service and includes sermon themes and relevant biblical texts Appendices include a training model for child abuse prevention education for volunteer and staff training in the church and a copy of the National Child Protection Act 1993. A comprehensive reosurce list is also included.
