This book is a publication of the Canadian Churches' Forum for Global Ministries; formerly the Ecumenical Forum of Canada; this isntitution was founded in 1921 as the Canadian School of Missions by a number of Canadian churches and theological colleges. For many years it has played a unique role in preparing people for corss cultural experience. The Forum's goal has been to simulate dialogue on such issues as mission, global development and socual justice. The main purpose of the FORUM continues to be: providing ecumenical orientation an re-entry programs to mission personnel. The FORUM continuest ot support ecumenical co-operation amongst theological students and faculties across Canada while focusing on contemporary global issues and concerns. By encouraging interfaith dialogue, and building bridges of communication and concern amongst all churches an religions of Canada, the FORUM hopes to continue the process it began at its inception of fostering a profound spirit of fellowship and solidarity among groups and individuals of sitinct traditiosn and beliefs - in order to be about God's work of bringing unity and justice to the earth.
