In this classic book, John Stott explores a cristianity of prepositiones. By a looking at these "insignificante little words" - living our life through Christ, on him, in him, under him, unto him, for him, and like him - we can learn great things about our relationship to Jesus Christ.
For example, our relationship through Jesus Christ has mucho to do with his work as mediator. Throug Christ our mediator, John Stott says, the gulf between us and God n bridged. What we know of God, ve know through Jesus Christ. What we receive from God, we received through Jesus Christ. That insignificant littel prepositon has great meaning! In the same way, John Stott reviews the meanin of the words on (on Christ foundation), under (under Christ our Lord), like (like Christ our model) and others. Life in Christ is practical help to a Christian's daily life. As the author writes in his conclusion, we can discover "that a personal relationship to Christ is a many-sided, many - colored, many-splendored thing". To be Christian is to live ouf life though, on, in, under, unto, for, and like Jesus Christ, and Christ the becomes the center of our life. |
