This book is directed especially to those who find that their religious faith is leading them to undertake a re-examination of U.S. policy. I trust it will be of interest to others who take the Bible to be God's Word but have not been concerned about how that Word might transform their views on foreing policy matters. An I hope it will also further dialogue with those who are disturbed by what they see their contry doing in Central America and elsewhere but hace no particular religious interest. I have found that the Bible has a way of addressing us and laying a claim upon us, even when we don't start out from a clearly articulated beliefe in itsd authority. There is, I believe, something about what it has to say on such issues that not only makes sense but can algo stimulate us to move beyond where we now are in out thought and action.
